Memory Bears are special keepsakes hand made with sentimental fabric. They are called “bears” for convenience, as most people decide to have teddy bears made (after all, what brings back memories more than a cuddly, squishy teddy bear?), but they can have many different shapes: I can make dogs, cats, even an axolotl… just ask!
This lovely teddy is about 35cm (13.5in) tall and 30cm (12in) wide. It's designed to sit up on its own.
It is stuffed with recycled heavy polyester, which is great for giving it a sturdy yet cuddly feel.
Once you have made your purchase you will receive a email detailing the address to use to send your fabric. You are welcome to send over different kind of items, including - but not limited to- clothing, fabric accessories, kitchen towels, tote bags, blankets, etc.
For adult clothes, you'll probably need just 1 or 2 items. For baby clothes, around 8 or 9 usually works best. Feel free to send more, but keep in mind that the more garments you use, the less unified the bear might look.
I’m happy to work with stained or worn fabrics – sometimes those are the pieces that hold the dearest memories. Just know that if something is too worn, it might not be usable. I'll do my best!
P&P is included in the teddy’s price, however, bear in mind that you will need to send over your items. If you are local to York or North Yorkshire area I am happy to meet up to pick up your items!
Heads up: These bears are super cuddly, but they're keepsakes, not toys. Since they're made with your own clothes, they can't be CE tested. I use safety eyes, but I recommend keeping them out of reach of little ones.
